Elementary School Montessori

Elementary School begins with the entrance of children in first grade and ends in fourth grade, the average age of the school ranges from six to ten years old; it is the school of the second childhood where laughter, games, sharing, and teamwork
characterize the performance of the little ones.

The academic curriculum:

Responds to national and international standards, it is in this school where work begins according to the Cambridge curriculum, orienting teaching and learning to the development of their academic autonomy.

Students develop the artistic and musical as a cultural expression seeking to appreciate, value and enjoy its different manifestations, within the curriculum is music in three modalities: strings, woodwinds, and brass. There are also classes that work on plastic arts and corporal expression.

The school's emphasis is on the development of communication skills: speaking, reading, writing, and listening, both in the native language and in English, and the development of mathematical thinking, since these are the basis for middle and high school. This is complemented by the reading program, which develops reading comprehension and a taste for reading. At the formative level, we consolidate training in the values of the Montessori philosophy, where responsibility, respect, the common good and autonomy are valued in the daily performance of the children.

The environment:

Second language immersion environments are sought; nine subjects make up the academic curriculum guided by bilingual teachers specialized in the different disciplines, who contextualize knowledge in projects and pedagogical outings that enrich the act of learning and benefit the development of thinking skills.

From the first grade of Elementary (1st) students begin to dedicate four hours a week to a third language, French.

The follow-up and academic and formative accompaniment are the key to success in our school, for this there is an interdisciplinary team formed by the group directors, psychology, and school management, who permanently review the academic and formative processes of the girls and boys and implement actions that result in both personal growth and academic performance of the students.
