Social Action Program (PAS)
As social human beings by nature, every person should put at the service of others each and every one of the potential and talents that life has given him/her, considering minimum parameters for justice, equality and harmony between all fellow human beings. The Montessori School guides its students to work towards the common good and forges in them a strong sense of responsibility. In this direction, the School encourages, promotes, and creates spaces for training, reflection and interaction for concrete situations of vulnerability and when discovering opportunities for social improvement. The Montessori School encourages, promotes and develops reflection and interaction spaces for education, reflection and interaction for specific situations of vulnerability and social improvement that require our assistance.

Aware of the need to educate human beings who are ethical, sensitive and committed to the development and construction of our city, we have made ourselves available to the many outreach opportunities that require our support, service and solidarity. The following processes are led by students, teachers, administrative school staff, and parents:
1. Assistance Programs (I share what I have)
Assistance to low income families through donations in food and dress.
Assistance to home and foundations with food and recreation
Christmas celebration and gift donation to children from the different homes that we assist
Organization and distribution of food items
Donation of school supplies
“Dream Art” Program: recreation for children in the vicinity of the school.
2. Pedagogical (Share and learn)
Training program in pedagogy and quality management in educational institutions.
3. Social Service by the students (I share and grow)
Visits and recreational programs for children at Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe
Visits and recreational programs for foundations that assist socially vulnerable populations (Bambi’s Home)
4. Scholarships (I share and help others grow)
Scholarships for Hogares Juveniles Campesinos (institution that assists youngsters from rural areas)
Scholarships for Colegio San Lucas
5. Friends Network (sharing what I am)
Comprehensive (Affective and Practical) assistance to the children of the EEE (Villa Tina sector)
