During the month of March, we had several important events at the school, such as our eleventh version of MOSMUN, between March 10 and 12, with the participation of a school from El Bagre, Antioquia and an educational institution from Peru. The positive aspect of virtuality is being able to work with other regions and even foreign countries, because distance is no longer an obstacle for this type of events.
This version of MOSMUN continued to work hard to bring this experience to public schools and as many students as possible. The participating institutions were: José María Berrío, El Bagre, INEM, Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola, IE Rosalía Suárez, Colegio San José La Esperanza, Colegio Campestre Horizontes, Colegio Montessori, Colegio Theodoro Hertzl, Vermont School, La Enseñanza, Marymount, Colombo British, UNAULA Delegates, Santa Elena Educational Institution and EAFIT.
On the other hand, we celebrated Green Day on March 19 through different conferences and activities that recognized the importance of the environment. In Elementary School, we had an exhibition and virtual gallery about the fauna and flora of the Valle de Aburrá, a project from two areas: French and Natural Science. In Middle School, we held a conference called "Path to sustainability", given by our alumnus María Camila Villegas, who works on sustainability and environment issues at Grupo Argos. Finally, in High School, they participated in a talk on sustainability by URBAM from EAFIT, and our environmental analyst, Ana María Sánchez.
Finally, 2019-2020 11th grade students, participated in the contest “Concurso Nacional de Seguridad Vial” with their project carried out with the French area talking about the speed limit within the School and its surroundings, the use of seat belts and cell phones. Students ranked third nationally - congratulations!
